National Geographic Campaign

Discipline: Illustration, Editorial Design
Client:
National Geographic
Topic: Attraction, The Animal Mating Game
Materials used: Copic markers, gouache, water colour

A series of vibrant illustrations created for Nat Geo’s new documentary. Using copic markers, gouache, and water colour paint, I explored themes of attraction, energy, pursuit, and chase through bold, expressive colour.

The work was also adapted into a book with an editorial, magazine-inspired layout.

By shifting away from National Geographic’s usual earthy tones, the project introduced a more vibrant and playful visual language.

This fresh perspective invited readers to see the natural world through a new lens — one full of energy, curiosity, and allure — making the subject matter feel both captivating and unexpected.
